A poet who lived through poverty, illness, and old wounds, and still called this world a picnic worth taking.
His short, clear lines ask quiet questions about living, dying, and joy. We'll read slowly, aloud, and share what the silences hold.
This session is held in English and we will be reading the poems aloud. Using a bilingual edition, the original Korean text sits right beside the English translation on facing pages. Anyone wishing to read a few lines in Korean is warmly welcome. You don't need to be fluent in English to join us — everyone is welcome!

가난과 병, 오래된 상처를 지나온 시인이 그럼에도 이 세상을 소풍에 빗대어 노래한 시집. 짦고 맑은 문장들이 삶과 죽음, 그리고 기쁨에 대해 조용히 묻습니다. 천천히 소리 내어 읽고, 시의 여백이 담긴 것을 함께 나눕니다.
이번 모임의 낭독은 영어로 진행됩니다. 한영대역본으로 읽기 때문에 원문이 늘 마주 보는 쪽에 함께 있어, 원하시는 분들은 한국어로도 몇 줄 읽어보실 수 있습니다. 영어가 유창하지 않아도 참여하실 수 있습니다.
